This blending of agency skill-sets supported the recent successful launch of Boostrix vaccine for GlaxoSmithKline. With the incidence of pertussis (whooping cough) rising, a pilot education program for maternity wards was developed, - and then expanded to educate all new mothers about the importance of immunizing themselves against pertussis to protect their newborn. A range of collateral materials was developed, including; parent brochure, fact sheet and poster, and these were supplied to all GPs across Canada to help them educate their patients.
